Root offers expandable measurement capability through plug-and-play Masimo Open Connect (MOC-9) modules. MOC-9 modules expand Root’s potential with additional Masimo and third-party measurement technologies, allowing clinicians to connect the most applicable monitoring solutions for each patient.

Next Generation SedLine brain function monitoring features an enhanced processed EEG index (PSi) and utilises four simultaneous channels of EEG data to provide continuous information about the state of the brain under anaesthesia

ANI and SedLine Brain Function Monitoring on Root

Analgesia Nociception Index (ANI®) MOC-9 Module

Analgesia Nociception Index (ANI) technology is now available from Mdoloris Medical Systems as a MOC-9 module for Root. According to Mdoloris, the ANI MOC-9 module allows monitoring of the tone of the parasympathetic nervous system by computing the ANI parameter, which may be used to monitor the balance between analgesia and nociception.

According to Mdoloris, use of ANI technology may help clinicians assess pain and determine treatment options. Specifications, directions for use, and clinical studies are available from Mdoloris.
